The finest expression of Dolcetto among those produced by the Abrigo family. Complex and elegant, in addition to being a benchmark among 100% Dolcetto varietals, the “Garabei” boasts excellent aging potential. Deep ruby red with violet hues typical of Diano’s Dolcetto. Rose petals, blackberry, and wild black cherry are intertwined with notes of tea, black pepper, and almonds. Powerful yet elegant, Garabei features dense and enveloping tannins. Its good acidity preserves the flavor and supports a very smooth, persistent finish. With aging, it loses its violet characteristics and develops rich notes of undergrowth and earthy tones. It evolves beautifully in the five years following harvest, while in the best vintages, it remains dazzling even after 10 years of refinement. Recommended with aged prosciutto, hard cheeses, stuffed pasta, grilled vegetables, and light main courses.
